Leonard L. Cerefice, CPA, Founder

Leonard Cerefice is one of the original founding partners of Cerefice & Company. Although retired from the firm, Len continues to help guide the firm by providing leadership and consulting services on a regular basis. A native of New Jersey, Len received his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Seton Hall University and received his CPA license in 1970. Len is a member of the AICPA and the NJ Society of CPA's. Len is married to Genevieve Lapham. They live in Westfield, New Jersey. He has three children, Julia, Jenna, and Mark.

Mina M. Patel, CPA
Tax Advisor and Certified Specialist in Estate Planning

Mina Patel has been with Cerefice & Company since 1992. Besides being a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, her expertise includes accounting software, tax preparation, and database management. She oversees audits, reviews and compilations, and tax preparation. From 1979 to 1986, Mina was a Staff Auditor for Konigsberg, Wolf, & Company in New York City, preparing financial statements and tax returns. From 1983 to 1986, she handled selected clients, and from 1986-1992, she provided tax preparation services for individuals and small businesses. Mina graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelors Degree with high honors in accounting and received her MBA from Rutgers University in 1990. She received her CPA license in 1982. She is the recipient of the Ackerman Memorial Prize in 1990, which was awarded to the MBA candidate with the highest academic achievement in the Management Program. She received the School of Business Management Alumni Association Prize in 1990, which was awarded to the candidate with the highest scholastic achievement in the MBA program. She was nominated for the American College Scholarship while attending The Graduate School of Management at Rutgers University. Mina is a member of the AICPA and the New Jersey Society of CPA's. She is married to Milan Patel, an engineer with ETC, Inc. They live in Clark, New Jersey with their two daughters Rachna and Dipal.

Margaret Harris, CPA
Accounting and Corporate Tax Specialist

Margaret Harris has been with Cerefice and Company since 1987. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Pace University. Margaret was a Senior Auditor for six years at David Berdon and Company, prior to joining us at Cerefice. Margaret is responsible for all of the firm's accounting and treasury operations and most client business tax compliance, including corporate income tax returns and partnership income tax returns. She is a member of the American Institute of CPA's and The New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Margaret and her husband Harold live in Middletown, New Jersey with their two sons, Chris and Brian.

Sandra M. Kosinski, CPA
Small Business Specialist

Sandy, a native of Rahway, joined Cerefice & Company in 1997. Prior to that she was a Senior Financial Accountant at Johnson & Johnson and an audit manager at Coopers & Lybrand. Sandy graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Kean University. Sandy received her CPA license in 1988. Sandy handles many of the compilation, financial statement preparation, and personal income tax return needs for Cerefice clients. Sandy is also an active volunteer within the Rahway community, which include the Rahway Middle School PTO and the Rahway foundation for Excellence in Education. When not at Cerefice, Sandy is busy raising her two children, Michelle and Steven.

Charlotte Koval
Full Charge Bookkeeper and Payroll Specialist

Charlotte came to Cerefice & Company in 1986. She has been an integral part of the firm. Her responsibilities include compiling client data, preparing bank reconciliations and financial statements, individual income tax preparation and client payroll functions. Charlotte's software expertise includes QuickBooks and Peachtree. She is an active participant as the " local coordinator and coach" for the New Jersey Special Olympics. Charlotte resides in Morganville, New Jersey with her husband Mike. Charlotte has three children, Kimberly, Michael & Mark and one 1 grandchild, Christopher.

Denise Csordos
Bookkeeping and Data Processing

Denise began working at Cerefice in 2002. She attended Rutgers University to study Business, and then started her own company from 96-99. Denise has three children, Amanda, Emily and Connor. Her expertise is Peachtree, MAS90 Accounting, bookkeeping and payroll administration.

Deval Shah
Bookkeeping and Data Processing

Deval began working at Cerefice in 2005. She attended Gujarat University in India earning a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. Deval provides back office data processing services for one of the firm's largest clients. Her expertise is in MAS90 Accounting, Peachtree, accounts receivable, accounts payable and database management. Deval lives in Edison with her husband Rajiv and their daughter Rajvi.

Mecca Godfrey

Mecca began working for Cerefice & Company in 2006. She has a Bachelors Degree in Business and Communications from the University of Pittsburgh. Mecca's currently attending New Jersey City University in hopes of attaining her MBA in Accounting. Mecca provides database management for one of the firm's largest clients. Her expertise is in MAS90 Accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and database management.

Lavon Adams
Firm Administration and Data Processing

Lavon joined the Cerefice team in 2006. Lavon handles administrative and marketing functions for the firm as well as data processing functions for our clients. Lavon has an accounting background and several years of banking experience.
